Data Science Club

The Data Science Club is a great place to build networking skills with peers and mentors with one thing in common: to use data to solve many of the world’s mysteries.  We’ve had students working at the Data Science Institute as interns, volunteering at tech conferences, and participating in hackathons.  You might be wondering what some of this is, and that’s okay. Often, students are intimidated by technology and technology groups because they are just beginning their journey to the tech industry. Our #1 priority with the Data Science club is to cultivate confidence in our members at every experience level.

President – Sayuri Shrestha

I am Sayuri Shrestha. I am from Nepal, and I am an undergrad majoring in Comp Sci and minoring in Data Science. I love to solve puzzles, dance, inline skate, hike and be involved in the school community! I love Data Science because it is such a versatile field. From analytics to AI models, we really get to learn and leverage data for a greater impact in the world! I am honored to be the president of the Data Science club this semester. We have so much planned for this semester!!

My name is Pratyusha Shanker , and I am a sophomore majoring in Data Science! I appreciate data science’s versatility and the range of applications it has to help deal with real-world issues. I am excited for the Data Science Club to help connect students in the field and give them opportunities to receive guidance from experienced professionals!
